The Mumbai Diamond Merchants Association (MDMA) established in 1906 to serve the Indian diamond trade and industry, today helps more than 13,000 members to transact business ethically in the comfort of a trading hall situated in the premises of BDB. The trading hall at Bharat Diamond Bourse (BDB) is named after Shri S.G Jhaveri - the visionary, pioneer and founder member of BDB whose sole dream was to bring the entire Indian diamond fraternity under one roof. Inaugurated on 19th January 2013 the trading hall with the intention of ensuring that each and every Trade Member of BDB has a fair opportunity and to ensure that the vision of the late Mr. S. G. Jhaveri is truly and correctly honoured. The Trade Members (when individuals) and / or Authorised Representative of a Trade Members (where not an individual), shall be permitted to enter and use the S. G. Jhaveri Trading Hall
